Sylvain Paillard is born in Geneva (Switzerland) and has studied artificial intelligence in the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) from which he holds a Master Degree in Computer Science.
Mr. Paillard has co-founded Cognosense SA in Lausanne (Switzerland) in June 2004 and lead the entire development of the Company’s technologies by managing an R&D department of up to 20 engineers in Switzerland (Lausanne) and China (Beijing). He managed the entire development of an information access platform enabling real-time search-guidance and 1:1 marketing automation.
Mr. Paillard facilitated a merger with Boxalino AG in September 2007, a company delivering state-of-the-art E-Business products and supported the development of the company in Canada (Montréal). In January 2009, Mr. Paillard supported the creation of a Joint-Venture, called Guidyu, financed by Canadian and Chinese capitals and focusing on the commercialization of Boxalino’s CEM technologies in China and North America.
Mr. Paillard is currently the Executive Vice-President of Guidyu and is in charge of its operations in China. His main focus is the accomplishment of the company’s go-to-market strategy by building a network of partners distributing the CEM Platform.
Over the years, Mr. Paillard facilitated the raising of over 5 Millions Swiss Francs of risk capital from Switzerland, Canada and China.
